DRAFT for practitioner review. This text is not approved yet.
These terms explain what SortMyCover does, what it does not do, and what we ask of you. Please read them with our privacy notice. By using this site or our WhatsApp, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
SortMyCover is a service of Lead Velocity (Pty) Ltd. We connect you with authorised financial services providers. We do not give financial advice, compare products or quote premiums.
Lead Velocity (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/637858/07, Pegasus Building 1, 210 Amarand Avenue, Menlyn Maine, Pretoria, 0184. We are not a financial services provider.
2. What we do
- We ask you a few short questions. They check that a call with an adviser suits you.
- If it suits you, and you agree, we pass your details to one adviser. The adviser is named when you agree, or in our first WhatsApp to you. That message shows their name, practice and FSP number.
- We book your call and send you reminders on WhatsApp.
Your free cover check is a conversation with that adviser. It is a call of about 30 minutes, booked for a time you pick.
3. What we do not do
- We do not give financial advice.
- We do not compare products, quote premiums or sell policies.
- Our WhatsApp assistant uses AI. It can answer questions about the call and help you book. It never gives advice. Type “person” at any time to reach a human.
- What you read on this site is general information. It is not advice. Only a licensed adviser can tell you what fits you.
4. It is free, and you do not have to buy
You pay us nothing. You do not have to buy anything, on the call or after it.
Advisers pay us a flat fee for each 30-day cycle. The fee is the same whether or not you buy. We earn nothing from any policy. See how we make money.
5. Your adviser
Your adviser is an authorised financial services provider. They run their own business. They are not our employee or agent. They are responsible for any advice they give you and any product they offer. They must give you their own disclosures on the call.
6. You can stop at any time
- Reply STOP to any WhatsApp, or email howzit@leadvelocity.co.za with the word STOP. We stop at once and tell the adviser.
- You can cancel or move your call at any time. Use the buttons in our WhatsApp, or reply to us.
- You can also join the National Consumer Commission opt-out registry. We check our records against it every month. A registered block always wins, even if you agreed before.
7. Your details
Our privacy notice explains how we collect, use, share and keep your details, and your rights.
8. What we ask of you
- You must be 18 or older.
- Give true details, and only your own number. Do not enter someone else’s details.
- Do not misuse this site or our WhatsApp. For example, do not send spam or harmful files, or try to get into our systems.
If you do not, we may close your enquiry and not pass on your details.
9. Information and links
We try to keep this site correct and up to date. Examples on this site are general. They are not quotes, and they do not promise any result. We are not responsible for other websites we link to.
10. Our responsibility
We are responsible for running our own service with care. We are not responsible for advice an adviser gives you, or for a product you choose. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
11. Complaints and contact
Email howzit@leadvelocity.co.za, or send COMPLAINT on our WhatsApp. We reply within 48 hours. See also complaints.
Complaints about an adviser’s advice go to the adviser’s own complaints process. If it is not solved, you can go to the FAIS Ombud.
For questions about your details, contact our Information Officer.
